PROPOSING NEW MEMBERS
Members are welcome to propose new candidates to join The Lobby. Application forms are available at The Lobby or at www.thelobby.lv.
The Membership Committee meet six times per year and admit new members when space is available.
CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
You are free to withdraw your application. Should you wish to do so, please submit the cancelling notice to firstname.lastname@example.org.
RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership renewals are not automatic and are reviewed by The Lobby on an annual basis. Membership in The Lobby is intended for persons in professions and services related to the world of finance, industry, culture, art and science, who have distinguished themselves with social responsibility in their respective fields of activity and requires adherence to accepted standards of conduct and the rules of The Lobby. The decision of The Lobby is final and cannot be appealed.
All Membership Cards must be handed to the reception prior to entrance of The Lobby.
The Lobby is designed for adults, but they are child-friendly. Please be considerate of other members when you bring children, who are part of your guest allowance.
Access card holders are permitted to invite one guest per one visit, membership – up to 2 guests per one visit. A member’s guests may not enter the club without that member present. Members may not be separated from their guests within The Lobby or allow their guests to remain in The Lobby when they leave. Members are responsible for ensuring their guests follow all club rules and policies, and can face suspension or termination of membership if their guests violate those rules.
Please note the guests are registered in the guest book and there is limitation for guest to visit The Lobby not more than 3 times per running 12 months.
The Lobby welcomes a non-corporate atmosphere and it offers an environment to connect their members in a network based community on common interests and values of friendship and fairness.
Members are also responsible for ensuring their guests abide by this rule.
Please honor and respect the privacy of all private events occurring in The Lobby and refrain from communicating any information about the event to third parties.
To protect the relaxed atmosphere within The Lobby, members are requested to switch of the sound of the phones. Texting is permitted and calls may be made in designated areas of The Lobby. Please ensure that your guests adhere to our phone policy.
No cameras, video or recording devices may be used while in the Lobby. Members are responsible for ensuring their guests also abide by this rule.
Movies, videos, songs, internet calls and presentations must only be played through headphones and should not be audible to any other member or guest present.
The Lobby has a strict no press policy. Members will be held accountable if they or their guests disclose or identify any other members or guests who are in The Lobby in any press or social media including Facebook, Twitter and on personal blogs. Similarly, members and their guests must refrain from identifying or describing any private hire or member event occurring in The Lobby premises.
The Lobby adhere to the strictest confidentiality standards and pledge to maintain all records and personal information concerning the members and their guests in the strictest confidence.
No member or guest of a member shall use, possess or distribute illegal drugs while in The Lobby premises. If any of the uses above prove true, the membership in question will be terminated.
All bills must be settled in full before leaving The Lobby. Members are responsible for their guests’ bills if they are not paid. There are no credit facilities.
It is important for us to have your current details, plus a photograph, in our membership database.
Upon approval or renewal of your membership, your membership fees become payable immediately. By providing us with your card details, you accept and consent to your card being charged with membership fees upon your application being approved or renewed. When paying with bank transfer, The Lobby shall submit the invoice to the member electronically by e-mail and it is valid without a signature.
Membership is for a minimum of one year and renewable thereafter on an annual basis.
Failure to pay the annual subscription (or any installment) within one month of the due date after being notified by management will result in the member not being admitted to The Lobby and the membership being terminated.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
Please refrain from bringing in any outside food or beverages, unless medically necessary.
We may at times close The Lobby to members for private events.
LEAVING THE LOBBY
All members and their guests are asked to respect our nearby residents by being quiet when leaving The Lobby premises or while in the surrounding area.
No animals will be allowed in The Lobby except for assistance dogs.
The Lobby is created to encourage the matching of different nationalities and different cultural and professional environments throughout social and recreational activities.
The Lobby is a proprietary private membership restaurant and club owned by limited liability company The Lobby under registration number 40203006205 and our registered address is Kaļķu Street 12, Riga, LV-1050. The Proprietor reserves the right to charge members a joining fee, an annual subscription fee and for admission to The Lobby premises from time to time. The right to amend or waive any such fees or subscriptions shall be the sole decision of The Lobby. No reason will be given for refusal of an application at any stage.
Any member wishing to resign his/her membership may do so. Membership fees are not refundable.
No smoking is allowed inside The Lobby at any time. There are certain designated outside smoking areas of The Lobby premises.
THE LOBBY TRADE MARK RIGHTS
All members and their guests shall not use the names, logos, colors, trademarks, service marks, photographs, trade dress, or other identifying features of The Lobby without obtaining the specific prior written approval of The Lobby.
LIABILITY OF THE LOBBY
The Lobby, its servants, and/or agents shall not be liable to any member or guest of a member for any loss damage or injury suffered by them or their property how so ever caused, save in respect of death or personal injury to a member or guest caused by the negligence of The Lobby, its servants and/or agents. This is not intended to affect any mandatory rights you have under local law that we cannot legally restrict or exclude.
INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES
In the event of any dispute arising as to the meaning or interpretation of these rules, the matter shall be referred to the Membership Committee whose decision, included the eventual termination of the membership, shall be final and cannot be appealed.
AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES OF THE LOBBY
The Lobby may change the rules by displaying notification of the change on the club’s premises for a period of 30 days. A copy of these rules will be made available to all members upon reasonable notice.
